Ingwe TVET College Seeks Groundsmen for Siteto Campus

Ingwe TVET College has announced two permanent vacancies for Groundsmen at its Siteto Campus, offering a vital opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the institution’s facilities.
The available posts, referenced as 2026/03/05, fall under Salary Level 02, with a remuneration package of R138 486 per annum. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring the campus environment remains clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.
Position Requirements
Applicants must possess a minimum educational qualification of Grade 10 or Standard 8. The ideal candidates will demonstrate flexibility in adapting to the varying demands of the role and possess the ability to communicate effectively in at least two of South Africa’s official languages.
Basic literacy is essential for reading operating instructions and safety notices. A working knowledge of cleaning procedures, maintenance protocols, and associated safety requirements is crucial, as is the ability to use cleaning materials appropriately and manage time efficiently to uphold high standards of cleanliness throughout the campus.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful appointees will be responsible for a range of duties focused on both cleanliness and grounds maintenance. Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring the thorough cleaning of classrooms and surrounding areas.

Performing various gardening tasks with minimal supervision, such as soil cultivation, digging, forking, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, and planting.

Managing waste by emptying litter bins located around the campus.

Keeping borders, thoroughfares, and highway footpaths clear and free from debris.

Candidates with foreign qualifications will need to submit an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) only if shortlisted.
